Is this of any (p)interest to you?

Well, I am.
(P)interested.
Are you?

A picture I've pinned...

I can't even remember how I got into it but I find it quite fun. This is on the basis of 2 days of pinning so I don't claim to be an expert.

Random observations
  • I'm a sucker for the 'next new thing'.
  • I tweet quite a lot.
  • I didn't want to be left out.
  • I don't want to be one of those oldies who are technophobes.
  • It's very undemanding - you just pin a picture you want to pin.
  • You don't even need to add text.
  • It's almost a diary. You could use it that way. Just pin a pic a day! Or two. And chart your life.
  • You could use it as a wedding list for ideas without being dictatorial. This does not apply to me.
  • It's VERY easy to use.
  • It might provide an insight into people's pysches. (OK, that's maybe pushing it a bit).
  • It's tantamount to peeping into someone's house.
  • I'm just exploring graphic novels and it might help me find people with a similar interest.
  • I can share what I think are wonderful things!
So - are you (p)in or are you out?
Going to get (p)involved? I KNOW I MUST STOP THIS SILLY "(P)IN" STUFF. SORRY!!! But it's just so tempting and I'm such a child.

Really, does this tempt you? Are you a veteran already?
Any pin-peeps I should be following? You?

Crocodile rock

More pop trivia for you.
Elton John 1972. (SO not an EJ fan.)
So catchy but I'm still not sure I like it. It's taking me 40 years to work it out....

Oops, poor clean-up.
  • Barry M.
  • Crackle I don't like. This I definitely DO.
  • Don't know why this didn't get more love when it came out.
  • Oh, I do - I don't think Barry M are the best for marketing or use of social media. Not like Illamasqua. Admittedly a more upmarket brand.
  • Insanely shiny.
  • But I Seche Vited anyway because I always do.
  • You MUST follow the instructions and apply it on wet polish after one minute or it doesn't work. Instructions on the side of the bottle.
  • Over Barielle Make It A Latte
Yes?
No?
Pointless?
Who needs more crackles/weird effects?

Pretty flamingo...

  • Bubaloo Boutique on folksy
  • https://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/pages/Felt-Sew-Sweet/294122700635178
(The various presences Claire has online and I really do love her stuff so check her out.)

  • Blurry photo but you have tried taking a pic of your own head, yeah?
  • Pretty headband
  • "Pretty Flamingo" is a Kinks song from 1966 - yes, I know you weren't born then but it's history, right?
  • Can you just see the sparkly band? The only sparkly band I have.
  • VERY light and comfortable
  • My granddaughter is 8 months now so maybe I'll put it aside for her when she's walking as it is just so cute and I am.......neither cute nor young.
  • BUT I love headbands so I'm still going to wear them whatever people may think!

(Also by Claire.)
  • Very jingly-jangly which I like.
  • Shown it with the millefiori cross I always wear because I...always wear it.
  • I spread out the bead and various elements to show it up better.
  • The anchor is the same back and front so it doesn't matter which way it 'sits'.
And another pretty one by Claire - again very lightweight and comfortable, very simple and sweet!

    Skittle Tips - Skipples?

Needed a topcoat to smooth it out a bit
    • I really love this and I don't mind that I went a bit OTT on the ring finger and made a puddle!
    • Over CG White Cap (shouldn't that be whitecap?)
    • I prefer it to plain ol' skittles

    •  Bourjois Bleu Model (this is so not blue to my eyes)
    • Barielle Expressive (they have a 50% sale on in the UK and have had for some time)
    • L'Oreal Yellow Seahorse
    • Essie Smooth Sailing
Do you like skittles or any variant thereof?

    Jelly glitter sandwich

With Jessica Aqua Tint and NYC Starry Silver Glitter
    • Left the ring finger unsandwiched so it's weedy and thin but I wanted to see the NYC more clearly
    • Am SO going to get smurf-fingers
    • I would like it if I liked aqua on me
    • I cut my nails back a little too far
    • It is quite an easy thing to do and is fun in the sun (which we have again today)
We can all get the NYC easily enough from Superdrug. Do you have it? Or did you think it was a bit too unsubtle and kiddie?

A fail with Hits Speciallita Tango Flocado and Fantasy Fire

Dammit, I even used tip guides! I was just messing about though. I didn't have too high hopes...
How to waste some good polish on a botched job. I'm an expert at that.

    • Kiko 354
    • Hits Speciallita
    • FF
The middle one is available from a seller in the US
    http://shop.llarowe.com/main.sc

Excellent service. But remember you can now get the Glitter Gals in the UK from SJM Well so there's no need to wait for those to arrive from the US.
