OPI Pamplona Purple

Another one that's been on for a few days with a top-up coat to make it last longer.
Just yer standard purple.
Purple is quite dear to my heart as it was THE fashion colour in the early 70s when I was a lass. Purple velvet and purple corduroy. Those were the days...

Anyway...

Is there a fashion colour which speaks to you of youth? You have to be over 40 to answer this btw!

  1. It's timeless! I love purple. It's such a flattering shade to wear, too. xxx

  5. I lived through the turquoise and orange shag fitted carpets of the 70s. I lived through the ozone layer destroying hairspray big hair of the 80s.

I've always loved jewel tones. Always. Dusty mauves, deep jade greens and russets and ruby red and royal purple and old gold. Very much a Tudor girl in a modern world.

Reportedly, my first words as a wee girl when my mum took me to the Victoria & Albert were, when are we moving in?! I was inconsolable that we weren't.

To answer your other question, I've not felt my spirits flagging when it comes to my passions, _however_ I find it necessary to rotate them now and again. Sometimes I'll knit 8 hours a day, sometimes I'll be stitching, sometimes working out or cooking or doing my nails 2x a day... Just do what you enjoy and switch focus when it starts feeling like a chore! You'll find your love for doing your nails again, never fear. Love your blog! <3
