Flakies must always be mattified: IT'S THE LAW

Because, if you leave them glossy, reflections detract from the flakie goodness. I just thought I'd mention it.

This is Leighton Denny Provocative (lovely formula but the little beggar chipped on 3 nails in one day) with Nubar 2010. Then 17 matte top coat over that.

Took me a long time to see any merit in matte and I wouldn't buy a matte colour but top coat does have some value.

  1. I probably wouldn't intentionally buy a matte colour either. I'm yet to get myself a top coat though. I think it'll be a nice addition to my collection but of course it's getting round to actually purchasing one :P

I'd be pissed if I shelled out for a Leighton Denny polish and it chipped in a day. REALLY pissed.

I like this, reminds me of volcanos/lava. You know what'd be hot? Flakies over like a warm grey colour, mattified. If you're ever stuck for a manicure idea, try that one out :L

  2. I love this, it looks amazing, a perfect match! Mattified flakies always look good. It's funny I tend to make matte polishes (like neons) shiny and other shiny polishes matte, I'm never satisfied obviously :P xx
