2true Fast Dry Shade 6

It's not going to set the world on fire colour-wise. Hence the FlorMar layering. But it does glide on beautifully. OPI do a trillion shades like this but the OPI quality is unequivocally no better than this modest self-effacing product.

These polishe are like liquid plastic or something. The consistency is superb. I've only one more 2true to review. Boo hoo. Next step is to try the squat bottles. But they have a lot to live up to. Problemo.

Your cheapest budget polishes?

  2. Looks like Barry M Raspberry. Your continual raving about this brand is making me want to try them. Before you started, I just turned my nose up at that really crap stand they have in Superdrug, lol. The power of social media, eh?

  3. I've heard about this brand only from you, Jen. Best cheap brand here is Wet 'n' Wild Wild Shine line, which is 99 cents but goes on sale regularly for 75 cents or even 50 cents once in a great while. The black in particular is very good.

  4. Pretty colour, I love the layering on top. I've been grabbing the odd George by Asda polish recently. They aren't bad quality and for £1.50 it's a bargain! :) x

  5. Ooh I love the layering look. I've found a lot of the 2True Glossywear range are fab for layering, which is good because I was sad when the colour on the nail wasn't the same as in the bottle, but they really are lovely. xxx

  6. Just seeing how smooth it looks on your index finger speaks volumes for the formula. I wish I had just one favorite budget polish, but I have quite a few - Nyx Girls, LA Colors, Kleancolor and now the new Nabis... all apply wonderfully to me!

  7. Catrice, Essence & P2 for European brands. In the UK, Barry M and Models Own. For super cheapies I got some LA Colors in £ shop which were fab. Miss Sporty are good too.
